"Lecture name: Case studies in Corporate Finance

Opened for M1 and M2. 

The goal of those 6 sessions is to train students in Basic and Advanced Corporate Finance in order to allow them to be fully efficient in an Investment Bank. Those classes will be highly interactive and students are expected to be actors in those "Business Role Playing Game". 

Class 1: Parrot

Learning objectives: Financial analysis+ Valuation start

Class 2: Dollar Store M&A

Learning objectives: M&A+ DCF valuation

Class 3: Snap IPO

Learning objectives: IPO+Start up valuation

Class 4: Indiana Toll Road

Learning objectives: PPP+ Infrastructure project financing

Class 5: Ducati

Learning objectives: Private equity+Exit investment decisions

Class 6: Overview+Final Exam

Learning objectives: Advanced remarks on valuation+ Presentation of the Exam case

Students will have to work by group on an Exam case for the 6 weeks. They will have to write a short analyst note (less than 30 pages) and make a presentation (around 20 minutes) on a given public firm. 

The report will be divided into 5 short topics: 

-Strategic analysis

-Financial analysis

-Valuation analysis

-Financial Policy analysis

-Risk analysis 

This work will allow students to train and develop their skills in team work, Investment Banking and Corporate Finance in a practical manner.  

Class from 1 to 5 will be composed on 3.5 hours working on the case+1.5 hrs of instructions and Q&A for the exam case.
