Descriptif
As pillars of territorial intelligence, cartography and GIS are decision-making, management and
communication tools. Territorial development, in the choices it implies, requires the sharing of knowledge from multiple
scientific fields. The information gathered, whether economic, social or environmental, needs to
be cross-referenced in order to be correctly interpreted and exploited. And what applies to the
regional scale also applies to small-scale urban projects, as long as they are designed to be
sustainable.
