Descriptif

This scientific group project aims to develop students' ability to:

  • Define and manage a scientific or technical problem as a team.

  • Apply disciplinary knowledge in a real or simulated research environment.

  • Use scientific methodology to explore, test, and validate a hypothesis.

  • Communicate findings effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Collaborate within a team, delegate responsibilities, and respect deadlines.

Objectifs pédagogiques

By the end of the course, students should be able to:

  • Work autonomously in a research or innovation context

  • Handle uncertainty and complexity

  • Report on a scientific investigation clearly and rigorously

  • Demonstrate critical thinking and creativity

Vos modalités d'acquisition :

 

  • A project proposal (objectives, methods, timeline)

  • A mid-term report (progress, difficulties, adjustments)

  • A final scientific report (structure: introduction, method, results, discussion, references)

  • An oral presentation, followed by Q&A

    Programme détaillé

    Students work in teams of 2 to 4 on a topic related to their program of study. The project may involve:

    • A literature review

    • A proof-of-concept or prototype

    • Experimental work (lab, field, or simulation)

    • Data collection and analysis

    • Modeling or software development

    • An application to societal or industrial issues

    Projects can be proposed by:

    • Students (with validation from the academic tutor)

    • Faculty members or partner institutions

    • Companies (in case of sponsored projects)
