Descriptif
This evening class is aimed at students who may have already done the second year storytelling class and anyone else who loves storytelling! This course will go deeper into the crafting of characters, bringing complex narratives to life, developing inner thoughts, outer experiences, and so on. You will also be encouraged to draw on your own life experiences to bring your narratives to life. The course will also have a practical element of using storytelling as a powerful strategic communications tool to inform, engage, motivate and inspire critical audiences in your professional journey. To this end, we will work on a professional story portfolio, where you fine-tune how you talk about yourself, your skills and your experiences.
As was the case with the second year course, his course will also run partly in collaboration with The Hands Up Project, an online storytelling and English language learning initiative with Palestinian and Syrian children in Gaza, the West Bank and Jordan. Our collaboration will be at the level of materials development (creating, writing and illustrating stories that can be used by other volunteers on the program); the aim is to produce a few stories by the end of the year that can be shared with the project.
