Programme détaillé
The course begins with sessions of solid mechanics, in a general framework, first in linear and then in large deformation. Then, the role of the microstructure in the mechanical response (porosity, fibers, etc.) is discussed. Finally, the students will work on the concepts of remodeling and growth from scientific documents, which they will have to explain.
The concepts discussed will be illustrated by labs for the solid mechanics part.
Research applications for the biomechanical concepts will be shown by seminars of external speakers.
Assessment:
Continuous assessment (participation, report on one of the practical exercises and presentation of document analysis)
Final exam will be few short exercises and the analysis of a scientific document.
