PA - C8 - INF515 : Projet de 3A MAP-INFO Image-Vision- apprentissage

Domaine > Informatique.

Descriptif

Transfert de mouvement à d’autres morphologies (Marie-Paule Cani and Damien Rohmer, LIX) Animer un objet 3D par la voix (Marie-Paule Cani and Damien Rohmer, LIX) Social network visualization with geographic constraints (par L. Castelli Aleardi, LIX) Sketch-based 3D shape retrieval (par M. Ovsjanikov, LIX) capture de la réalité et nouveaux défis (par Renaud Keriven, DIX) On Support Vector Clustering (Frank Nielsen, DIX) On robust and efficient implementation of k-levels of 3D arrangements of planes with applications (Frank Nielsen, DIX) On visualizing tensor fields with applications (Frank Nielsen, DIX) Distributed Delaunay Triangulation (Pooran Memari, LIX)

Rules for IVA project 2018/19
  • The project is 2 semester long, it replaces 2 classes (one during the 1st period, one during the 2nd)
  • Your project must be research oriented in the theme of your specialization
  • You must necessarily be tutored by a member of the computer science department DIX
  • Each project is done individually - no group project

Objective:
The main objective of the project is to familiarize and get a first experience of a complete research project. In contrast to common course project, this project tackles open research questions on which you should: read and understand from existing bibliography, propose one or more possible approaches improving on the existing literature, implement a prototype of your solution, test and validate your results. You will work independently with regular visit in the LIX (Laboratoire d'Informatique du l'X) to see your tutor who will discuss with your the avenues to explore.

Note that this project requires a significant personal investment (half day of work on site + regular progress). It also requires a capacity for reflection and computer development in an autonomous way.

Notes:

  • A list of subjects will be provided at fall
  • You are responsible to contact your supervisor. Don't wait too long, each supervisor will not be able to tutor many students
  • You can propose yourself the subject of your project, however you still need to find a supervisor willing to tutor it.

Organization:

  • The precise organization and process can be adapted with respect to your subject and tutor
  • It is globally expected that you go work in the LIX half a day every week (similarly to the class the project is replacing). You should ideally see your tutor once a week.

Evaluation:
You will be evaluated by, at least, one of the IVA program responsible

You will need to prepare:
  • A mid-term written report at the end of the first semester (~5 pages).
  • A final written report at the end of the 2nd semester (~10-15 pages).
  • An oral presentation in front of your tutor and program responsible (~20 min).

Examples of last year projects:
Transfert de mouvement à d’autres morphologies (Marie-Paule Cani and Damien Rohmer, LIX) Animer un objet 3D par la voix (Marie-Paule Cani and Damien Rohmer, LIX) Social network visualization with geographic constraints (par L. Castelli Aleardi, LIX) Sketch-based 3D shape retrieval (par M. Ovsjanikov, LIX) capture de la réalité et nouveaux défis (par Renaud Keriven, DIX) On Support Vector Clustering (Frank Nielsen, DIX) On robust and efficient implementation of k-levels of 3D arrangements of planes with applications (Frank Nielsen, DIX) On visualizing tensor fields with applications (Frank Nielsen, DIX) Distributed Delaunay Triangulation (Pooran Memari, LIX)
