Descriptif

In this course you will familiarise yourself with basic narratives structures, what makes a good story, and how you can write your own stories. There will be particular emphasis on the “telling” aspect of storytelling where you’ll be encouraged to read out stories, share ones you’ve found or written and thus improve your public speaking skills. 

This course will also run in collaboration with The Hands Up Project, an online storytelling and English language learning initiative with Palestinian and Syrian children in Gaza, the West Bank and Jordan. Our collaboration on the course will be at the level of materials development (creating, writing and illustrating stories that can be used by other volunteers on the program) but those of you who are particularly interested will have opportunities to do more.
